Wild West!

While I wait for more work to come out from under NDAs, I thought I'd share a couple of quick personal pieces from a while back. Experimenting with some looseness.

  1. Very nice. I would really like to see some in-progress stuff if you can do that with non NDA work.

  3. Thanks guys!

Charles - I've only done in-progress photography once and I posted it a while back, here's the link: http://chrisrahnart.blogspot.com/2009/09/processor-something.html

Scott - I think the first one was Cerulean, Yellow Ochre and Transparent Iron Oxide Red and the second was mostly Cerulean, Trans. Iron Ox. Red and maybe indigo...not sure though, it was a while back.

  7. Beautiful. I love the limited palette. I'd say you were pretty successful in your experiment.

  9. Really power pieces, man. This reminds me a lot of NC Wyeth, I need to get back down to the Brandywine River Museum now.

Also, Ray, Tyler is right.. an old western zombie apocalypse is totally possible.

  12. Hey Chris! It was so nice to see you again before Thanksgiving. I am honored to be related to such talent!
I love the Dark Tower series by Steven King and this Western art reminds me of the covers for those books for some reason. Did you do those as well?
