Jenara, ready for her close-up

I was asked (by Capprotti) recently if I'd post a couple of close-ups of the armor on this piece. As you can see, a lot of what looks like detail from a distance is actually just looser, and in some cases sloppy, brush work. In terms of scale, these files are actually a bit larger than the original painting.

  1. Wow. Awesome detail shots, man! Such a beautiful piece. (thanks to Mike for requesting the close ups!)

I'm sure you can expect more requests like that after this post, haha! Brilliant work, Chris. Absolutely brilliant.

  2. Nice Chris! The right colors and the right marks in the right places really make you think you're seeing something that's not there. Even up close it still retains it's quality! I'm almost shocked it's as small as it is. These pieces have such a presence. You should think about posting the size with the image. For me it's so interesting when these things aren't nearly the size you might expect. Great stuff, thanx for the post!

  5. Thanks for all the kind words, guys.

And no worries Mike, I should probably start putting the sizes at the top.
