Sword of War and Peace

While I don't have any pics yet of the new studio, here's something else. It's the last in the set of three swords I did for the current Magic world. Sword of War and Peace, 11 x 14 in., oil on masonite.

  2. (Brace for cheesy pun) This piece is hot. ;)

In all seriousness, man. This is so boss. Love that orange shift on the gold blade as it dips into shadow near the hilt.

  3. Oh wow. I'm excited at the idea of at least owning a print of this. I can only imagine how cool the foil version of the MTG card will look, too.

  5. Thanks guys!

Eric - thanks! Yeah, I spent a bunch of time looking at reference of molten metal and guys doing traditional blacksmithing with red-hot blades. Those color-shifts are everything.
