Two more for Bastion

This first guy's a scout, and the girl's got an ability called Dreamsong that allows her to manipulate her surroundings with her voice. With all of that detail she turned into a bit of a challenge, I'm learning that painting smaller isn't always faster.

9 x 12 in., oil on masonite.

  4. These look magnificent, Chris! Love these compositions, they're real inspiring. It's funny, I'm learning that painting bigger isn't always easier ;) They are two completely different beasts to tackle, that's for sure. Great stuff, thanks for sharing them with us!

  5. When you climbed the mountain to get that reference, did you use 10.2mm by 60m dry rope or do you prefer 8.1mm by 60m goldenrye rope? I can't believe you climbed that mountain. Safety first Chris.

    Well done sir.

  6. Tyler obviously doesn't own a private jet to use to go up to mountain tops. Amateur. But seriously, what are you doing flying up in and around mountains? I hope you didn't go by yourself! Safety first Chris or I'm telling Beth.

    Great stuff dude.

  11. You know, I can see a little of Aunt Roz in this Trow female character, do you see it? I do. Such a care-free and positive spirit!
(I removed the previous comment due to not being specific on which picture I was commenting on - did not want Aunt Roz being compared to a Mezoar male...)

  12. I'm in love with the scout! Seriously, I want to be besties with him... You've put so much character into his face, he's alive. I love it.
